Blue Turtle today announced the general availability of a new version of Flexera Software App Portal that standardizes application service delivery with other Service Catalog processes through integration with IT Service Management solutions.
App portal is the first universal enterprise app store, with unified application self-service across environments – from desktop to mobile. It ensures a positive IT services experience, by enabling employees to request apps for all their devices from a single store, using a single request that triggers all necessary processes behind the scenes to ensure efficient fulfillment and IT governance.
In addition, App Portal 2015 is optimized for use on mobile devices, giving employees simplified access to approved mobile apps directly from their mobile device. Employees can browse, select and check out corporate approved mobile apps from their Apple or Android device.

App Portal assimilates with ITSM Service Catalogs to complement IT services with a fully automated app store that manages approvals, maintains license compliance, and initiates delivery of applications to end users on both PCs and mobile devices.

Approvals for application requests are flexible and can use the built in App Portal approval process or be delegated to utilize established approval workflows in existing ServiceNow or BMC Remedy ITSM implementations.

Blue Turtle Customers on a current maintenance plan are entitled to get the latest version. App Portal 2015 has been extensively tested in upgrade scenarios beginning with version 7.5.x. If you are planning on upgrading an earlier version of App Portal you first must upgrade to version 7.5 before upgrading to App Portal 2015:

- To download the installation of your product, see the Download and Licensing Instructions and follow the instructions to download your new product from the Flexera Software Product and License Center. You will need your Flexera Software product and License Center login to download the product.
